- Retail store opens.
Our retail store offers one of the largest selections of perennial plants in Canada. You will find the usual and unusual in trees, shrubs, fruits perennials and vines. Many of our staff each have over 30 years of experience and can answer virtually any questions.
- The Cedar Café opens.
When visiting the nursery we invite you to have a meal at our Cedar Café. We prepare delicious and healthful meals that include appetizers, soups, sandwiches, desserts and daily specials. All food is prepared fresh in house every day. INside you will be surroudned by a tropical garden of fern, philodendron, orchid, vines and more. On warmer days you can sit overlooking the gardens on our second floor deck or sit next to the bubbling babbling brook under the grape arbour. We can accommodate group functions such as meetings and reunions for up to 75 people. Please book in advance.

Come in the afternoon and stroll the gardens, have dinner, smell the rose display, watch the sun set, enjoy live music and party till midnight. The solstice is actually on the 20th but you gotta have it on a Saturday night. Sun won't care.

Harvest time at the nursery. Watch cider being pressed from apples fresh from the orchard. Taste and buy fresh, organic apples, pears, and grapes. Samples to all. Join us in the barn for seminars on growing fruits in the Maritimes. There will be live music, a beer and wine garden and a landscape of fall colouors.
