Flowering Crabapple Varieties
Few ornamental trees can compare with the flowering crabs. They are available in a variety of flower colours. Some have colourful foliage as well. After their spectacular spring flowering display many varieties provide fruit for preserving or for wildlife.

- Coronaria Charlottae (3) - Double blooms of softest pink and a brilliant red-orange fall colour that rivals the sugar maples for intensity.(Sold out of all sizes)
- Liset (3) - This is the finest deep red bloomer. Very showy.
- Makamik (2-3) - an exceptionally healthy and hardy tree with bronze foliage and large pink blossoms. Flowers when young. Easy to grow. Scab resistant.
- Red Jade (4) - A weeping ornamental crab with a profusion of white blooms in spring and small glossy red fruit in fall. Excellent specimen tree.
- Royal Beauty (3) - A completely prostrate tree with deep red flowers and red foliage. Stake to desired height or use as unique ground cover. Branches are somewhat brittle and may break under heavy snow loads. (COPF)
- Royalty (2-3) - The choice for growers who want a color accent for the entire season. Glossy deep purple leaves with deep red blossoms. Tree is dwarfish and is good for smaller sites.
- Rudolph (2-3) - Deep pink variety from the Prairies. Tree is well shaped and flowers when young. Flowers are a few days later than most. Fruit looks like cherries and hangs on well in fall. Scab resistant.(Sold out of all sizes except select potted)
- Selkirk (2-3) - Masses of large and showy deep pink blossoms. Reddish green foliage and shining, deep jade red fruit in fall that is at least as showy as the flowers. Scab resistant. Excellent variety.
Edible Varieties
- Dolgo (3) - A very hardy, exceptionally sweet and delicious large crab that is excellent for preserves. Bears heavily and annually. Foliage is healthy and flowers are snow white. Unique strawberry- pineapple flavor recommended.
- Chestnut (3) - Hardy crab with a unique nutty flavour.
