Hardy Kiwi
These are highly ornamental twining vines that produce small hairless green fruits with the same flavour as the larger hairy kiwi. There are two different species. You must have a male and female of the same species to produce fruit. Female and Male Kiwi flowers

Arctic Kiwi (Actinidia kolomikta)
(Zone 3) Very hardy and vigorous. The males and some of the females produce white and pink variegation when they start to flower. Fruit is smaller than the arguta kiwis but begins to produce in 2-3 years.
- Female - Produces oval fruit the size of a large grape.
- Male (K) - Pollinates females, can pollinate several females
Bower Vine (Actinidia arguta)
(Zone 4) - Extremely vigourous vine with deep shiny green foliage. Fruit is round and squat. Begins to produce in 6 years.
- Female - Produces squat fruit slightly larger than Arctic Kiwi.
- Male (A) - Pollinates females, can pollinate several females.
