We have chosen only the hardier varieties. These are grafted on a vigorous root system. Two varieties are needed for proper pollination.

- Clapp's Favourite (4b) - Excellent dessert pear popular in the retail trade. Yellow with red cheek.
- Luscious (3) - Extremely hardy tree from South Dakota.
- Menie (4) - A large and productive tree. Very flavorful and hardy.
- Minie (4) - Quality similar to Bartlett but smaller and rounder Far hardier and very vigorous.
- Patten (4) - Very fine pear. The best for canning. Very hardy.
- Summercrisp (3) - A new selection from Minnesota. Extremely hardy.
