  1. April 15 - GRAFTING FRUIT TREES
    Learn the art and science of grafting. There will be information on the proper tools, the sharpening of knives and the different types of grafts used to produce and top work trees.

  2. May 6 - DESIGNING YOUR OUTDOOR ROOMS
    There is no 'right' way to create a garden but with the aid of the guiding principles of landscape design your gardens will probably be more satisfying and successful.

  3. May 20 - PEONIES AND OTHER SPRING BLOOMING PERENNIALS
    There is nothing as lush as a drift of peonies. Discover the diversity of this vast group of plants as well as other early perennials that will bring color and texture to your garden.

  4. June 3 - THE HARDY RHODODENDRONS
    A great deal of breeding work has delivered much needed rhododendrons and azaleas that are hardy. Find out which appeal to you and how to grow these treasured plants.

  5. June 17 - NATIVE PLANTS
    Learn more about the fascinating plants that live in our woods and meadows. Many of these can be excellent garden subjects and provide food and shelter for wildlife.

  6. July 1 - GROWING GLORIOUS ROSES
    So many people are reticent to grow roses. We will show you how little it takes to grow the hardy roses. There will be 150 varieties on display to see and smell.

  7. July 15 - CHOOSING LATE PERENNIALS FOR YOUR GARDEN
    There are so many perennials out there it staggers the imagination. Find out how to choose late season perennials that best suit your soils, lighting and taste.

  8. Aug. 5 - VINES FOR THE MARITIMES
    The interest in vines in growing and we will show you how that interest is justified. From clematis to Virginia creeper, there is a vine that will suit your needs.

  9. Aug. 19 - NEW PLANT INTRODUCTIONS
    There is a continuing stream of new plants arriving every year. We'll show you some we think are really winners and maybe even show you some we think are duds.

  10. Sept. 2 - PLANTS FOR CHALLENGING SITES
    Even if your site is a swamp or perhaps nearly desert or if you're sitting where the ocean spray coats your garden, there are plants that will thrive in those situations.

  11. Sept. 16 - CHOOSING, GROWING AND PRUNING CONIFERS
    We are often asked how to best grow and especially prune conifers. Learn about the different groups, their needs, their attributes and the methods and timing of pruning.

  12. Sunday, Sept. 24 - GARDENS AND LANDSCAPE IN CHINA
    Dorothy Turner recently returned and has a fabulous collection of photos of gardens, countryside, etc. and is going to give a talk and slide show on 'Gardens and Landscape in China'. This seminar is free!
