- April 21 - Fruit Trees
Everything you need to know about growing apples, pears, and cherries. Give your trees what they need to reach their potential. There will be discussions on grafting as well.
- May 5 - Garden Design
Learn the basics of planning a successful garden, including maximizing sight lines, the laying out of beds, organizing colour and choosing appropriate plant material.
- May 19 - Spring Perennials
Learn how to cultivate a large range of perennials including peonies, iris, bleeding heart and many more. We'll show you new varities that will astound you.
- June 2 - Flower Arrangement
This will be a fun event. We will discuss the general principles behind design, but this is a highly individual process and we want to encourage originality. Materials will be provided.
- June 16 - The Glory Of Roses
No year would be complete without a seminar on hardy roses. Come see our rose display and learn how easy these roses are to grow. There will be a bit on their history and a lot on their culture. We have over 150 varieties to show you.
- July 7 - Building With Stone
Come and learn how to construct retaining walls, steps, walkways and patios. Bring a pair of leather gloves and lots of energy. This is a four hour seminar. Because of the costs involved, we are charging a $20 fee which includes lunch at the Cedar Café.
- July 21 - Choosing Shade Trees
Trees will grow best when planted in sites they prefer. Find out the choices available to you and which best suit your yard.
- August 4 - Summer & Fall Perennials
Discover the wide range of perennials that bloom in summer and fall. Turn normally dull late gardens into a profusion of colour.
- August 18 - Ornamental Grasses
This group of plants has come into its own lately and offers tremendous opportunities for creating texture and movement, particularly in the fall and winter garden.
- September 1 - Growing Grapes and Kiwis
We'll take an in-depth look at what is required to grow these marvelous fruiting vines, including the pruning necessary to control growth and create the best crop.
- September 15 - Building Garden Structures
We'll offer guidance in how to create structures such as arbors, trellises, arches and fences. There will be discussions on the best materials, construction methods etc.
