Week of September 9, 2006

The orchestra has packed up and the plants returned to their places.

The Burning Bush signals fall approaching.

Daylilies are still scattered here and there.

Some roses are holding on but...

many have passed and formed hips.

Grapes are ripening for
Grape Fest Sept. 30 to Oct. 1.

The Phlox and Rudbeckia are spectacular in beds.
It is still worth visiting the nursery, but note the fall hours.
And don't forget our seminars. The last two are:
Sept. 16 - CHOOSING, GROWING AND PRUNING CONIFERS &
Sun. Sept. 24 - The Gardens of China
by Dorothy Turner who spent several months talking to horticulturists and
visiting public and private gardens. This Seminar will be free!
