This bush is upright and symmetrically arching, and could be trained as a climber. The tall, tulip-like deep raspberry coloured buds open to reveal a classic form. The petals eventually mellow to a deep warm pink. As if true to their colour, the fragrance of Alexander Mackenzie resembles that of freshly picked raspberries, though some say they smell nothing. (Pity). This rose will rebloom, ours having three waves of bloom leading into September. Impressive resistance to disease.
