Alba Maxima Rose
Zone 3b - Europe, ca. 1400 - 2.5m / 8ft
Parentage: Unknown, possibly a Rosa alba mutation
Large, creamy double blooms with handsome gray-green foliage. Once called the Jacobite rose or the Great White Rose, this was a popular cultivar in 16th century Europe. The bush grows quite tall but requires little pruning. Shoots are fairly smooth with few prickles. Incredibly fragrant during summer, with a display of red-orange hips in winter.
