A very hardy cultivar discovered by cider expert Claude Jolicoeur of Quebec. An excellent quality, bittersweet cider apple with a decent level of sugar, and high tannins. Described as ‘packing a punch’ Jolicoeur warns cider makers to limit its use to only 10% of a cider blend. It is a medium size apple with green-yellow skin and a slight red blush. Not recommended for fresh eating.
