Zone 4 - England. 1966 - Dwarf & Semi-Dwarf rootstock

Dessert, cooking
Late season

This is a reliable apple where temperatures drop to -40. The flavour is described as being tart and sweet with a crisp and crackling texture. The flesh is melting. Greensleeves is a cross between Golden Delicious and an apple called James Grieve. It has the sweetness of its Golden Delicious parent, but with a burst of tartness from James. We believe the flavour is at its peak when grown in northern locations. Greensleeves is a heavy annual bearer of good sized fruit. Resistant to scab and apple maggot. Excellent choice for organic production.
