Very narrow selection of blue spruce that stays tight, with an upright growth habit. Plant in well drained soils that are slightly acidic (pH 5-6). If you soil is neutral you can add iron sulfate to lower the pH and bring out the blue colour but do NOT use aluminum sulfate. It is toxic.
