Abies concolor

Primarily native to mountain slopes in the United States, it is a pyramidal conifer with a straight trunk and long blue-green needles. Cones appear upright on the branches and are slightly barrel shaped, up to six inches long. Cones may not produce for up to 40 years. Smooth ash-grey bark. Needles are soft and rubbery feeling.
