Hardy native tree noted for its brilliant orange/yellow fall colour and for being the source of maple syrup. This tree prefers open soils with perfect drainage. Extremely hardy tree. We carry trees grown from seed gathered from old specimens at our site as well as trees grown from the ‘Comfort’ sugar maple, an Ontario specimen that is believed to be between 300-400 years old.
