Large, fast-growing tree with soft, plumey blue-green needles around 5-10cm / 2-4” in length. A great choice as a specimen, for screens, and in groupings. Wide-spreading, possibly up to 12m / 40ft especially in ancient trees. Old stands can be very tall. The virgin pine forests of New Brunswick provided the British Navy with tall masts in the 18th and 19th century.
