Parentage: unknown, Rosa rugosa hybrid

This is our go-to rose when someone wants a good hedging rose. It is dense and forms a large symmetrical bush. It is similar to the older cultivar Hansa, but has better flower form. Dart’s Dash also has larger blooms and a longer blooming season. It has immense hips with a thicker outer layer of flesh than any we know, making it ideal for rosehip jam. Dart’s Dash will bloom until hard frost. Virtually immune to black spot, though you may see a touch of mildew late in the season. Mauve in colour.
