There are a bewildering number of hardy geraniums (not to be mistaken for the house plant geranium, which are actually Pelargoniums). Most will thrive in full sun or partial shade and prefer a moist well drained soil.

2. Geranium sanguineum ‘Striatum’: pink with red

3. Geranium sanguineum (Blood Geranium)
