Corn Hill Nursery Montmorency Cherry

Montmorency Cherry

$39.00
CONTACT FOR AVAILABILITY

Zone 4 - 5.5m / 18ft height - 6m / 20ft spread

Parentage - Seedling of P. cerasus found north of Paris, France, perhaps as early as the 17th century
Montmorency is the standard cherry for pies, desserts, and is one of the most widely grown tart cherries in North America. Good for fresh eating as well. The tree is cold hardy and self-pollinating, but planting two or more would ensure the best crop. We have tried many but this variety consistently produces the finest bright red cherries and has the best resistance to black knot. Typically ready for harvest in late July, early August in New Brunswick.

Self-pollinating
BARE ROOT 1yr
