Parentage: Rosa rugosa plena Regel × Abelzieds

This hybrid has proven extremely hardy, with textured foliage that has a gloss to it. The colour, Bob says, is reminiscent of a strawberry flavoured snow-cone that has had most of the syrup sucked out. Both flowers and foliage have a distinctive myrhh-like scent. It is an ideal hedging rose because of its size and density, and it is well armored with prickles. It does not produce a ton of suckers. Blooms from June until frost in our nursery.
