Champlain Rose (bare root)

from $25.00

Zone 4a - Canada. Svejda, 1982 - 1m / 3ft

Parentage: (Rosa kordesii Wulff × (Rosa laxa × Rosa spinosissima L.)) × (Red Dawn × Suzanne)

Champlain is hardy, and ever blooming. Only hard frosts can stop her from flowering. The blooms are a velvety, rich deep red. In addition to the colour, the rose is entirely free of disease, exceedingly resistant to black spot, and mildew. Under ideal conditions this plant will grow quite large, but in northern conditions some dieback of stems can be expected, keeping it lower in stature, and as a result, making it an excellent bedding rose.
